The "Harvesting your Wisdom" series is now moving into its FIFTH round, growing wider and deeper each time! We have a remarkable group with us, from the US, Europe and Israel, some from our earliest days in November 2020, others are new participants, all are warmly welcomed to come join our authentically, sensitive, and open group of people who believe that personal and spiritual growth in our wisdom years is not only a "good idea" but a SUPERB OPPORTUNITY! Registration is open and space is limited. For details and registration please contact me directly at rjd361959@gmail.com. Thank-you!

For Whom?

This "Harvesting your Wisdom" is a series that is geared both to people who have already experienced the power of Sage-ing as a "looking within/reflecting" process in cultivating our wisdom with our years, as well as for people who are new to "Sage-ing" who wish to embark on a journey to grow in wisdom and discover new possibilities for our wisdom with aging years. New participants are invited to initiate communication with me to explore their interests and suitability for this program.

Scope

We will meet for 6 sessions of 2.5 hours on topics which will call out your insight, motivation and inspiration at seeing the opportunities that present themselves at this time of our lives. Please see below. Registration is for the entire series only.

Dates: June 16, 23, 30. July 7, 14, 21

Program

The philosophy behind this continuation program is that open, reflective, profound, sensitive, respectful and transformative conversation- in addition to professional facilitation, planning and tools- is what REALLY helps us all make a difference in our lives!

Wednesday, June 16, 19:00-21:30, Israel time (UTC/GMT +2 hours)- (12:oo noon-2:30 PM, EST; 09:00-11:30 PST): Do you feel “at home” where you are right now? What do you need to make you feel at home? What are your first memories of home?

Wednesday, June 23, 19:00-21:30, Israel time (UTC/GMT +2 hours)- (12:oo noon-2:30 PM, EST; 09:00-11:30 PST): "Letting Go": What things do you feel you need to let go of, what are the things you have already let go of in the past, and how has it been for you?

Wednesday, June 30, 19:00-21:30, Israel time (UTC/GMT +2 hours)- (12:oo noon-2:30 PM, EST; 09:00-11:30 PST): "Old story/new story": We "tell ourselves stories about ourselves" all the time in life, it is just how it is. BUT, in our wisdom years we realize that some of these stories of the past need to be changed, updated and perhaps abandoned. What is one "old story" you wish to change for a "new story"? We will adapt a series of tools in order to help each other here!

Wednesday, July 7, 19:00-21:30, Israel time (UTC/GMT +2 hours)- (12:oo noon-2:30 PM, EST; 09:00-11:30 PST: What did you want to be when you grew up? Did you follow your dream? Why or why not? When have you worked very hard and enjoyed every minute of it? We will discuss and explore our careers and...where are we today- are you working? Retired? Part-time? Volunteering- how is that for us today? What are our personal insights on your work (including volunteer work) in your lives in the past and at this time?

Wednesday, July 14, 19:00-21:30, Israel time (UTC/GMT +2 hours)- (12:oo noon-2:30 PM, EST; 09:00-11:30 PST: "Though the physicality of death destroys us, the idea of death may save us.” Irwin Yalom----How do you personally feel about this? How easy/difficult is it for you to “engage with yourself” about the subject of death, ie. do you have a “conversation with death”? Who have you lost- friends, family, lovers, friends, partners- and how have these losses changed the story in your life?

Wednesday, July 21, 19:00-21:30, Israel time (UTC/GMT +2 hours)- (12:oo noon-2:30 PM, EST; 09:00-11:30 PST: Who are the people that “light up your life”? How do they do that? What is your relationship with them and how will you continue, develop and grow those relationships?

You help others to make the rest of our lives, the best of our lives…you do have something precious and valuable to offer others with your presentations and I appreciate all the effort you put into making your curriculum: the visuals, music, meditation, humor, great prompts, journaling all add to making this a unique and special program. I also enjoy the variety of people who all join together from all over and we all manage to find so many things in common. (T., Israel).

Also mulling over what aging is like, my belief systems….I particularly like the use of writing freely to the questions you asked, which were very thought-provoking…Really good use of different techniques, using poetry, writing, breakout groups, frontal speaking, even the rituals at the beginning of the candle and setting the ground rules. Really Ronnie, I think it was fantastic!" (Rachel- Israel)

Payment

These workshops are being offered under a "Dana" framework.

You may or may not be familiar with this concept which comes from the Asian Buddhist tradition and has been integrated in many places in the West. "Dana" is an ancient Pali word that means generosity of heart, or the process of cultivating generosity or giving. In "Dana", no set price is asked for, and participants are asked to give from their hearts, according to their ability and desire. This was the way Asian monasteries and monks were supported, the "exchange" being that of mutual reciprocity and gift-giving, so much a part of Asian culture. In the West, this concept is still not fully understood by all but the general spirit is something I think we can all identify with.

"Dana" allows each individual to give based on the generosity of their heart, the value they feel they have received and the commitment they have to sustain such activity with the time, experience, skills and efforts of the facilitator.

Oftentimes people are uncomfortable because they do not have any frame of reference for this. Thus, I would add that if I were to offer these programs on the free market, I would offer the series of 6 workshops for a price of $150- 300. Please use this just as a reference, your payment in the spirit of Dana will be what you decide it will be and whatever you will offer will be heartfully appreciated.

Since we have no "virtual" "Dana Bowl", payment will need to be by Paypal or by Bit/bank transfer in Israel- details upon registration- thank-you!
